Lake Baikal is the largest (by volume), oldest, deepest freshwater lake in the world, and contains 20% of the world's fresh water. You could fit all of the water from all 5 of the United States Great Lakes into it, and it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site as well. It also boasts over 1000 species of animals and plants, and 60% of the animals are ONLY found in that area.
