Robinson Crusoe, Tom Hanks in "Castaway", the Survivor TV showand the list goes on, with people who have been trapped on a remote island. In a way, there's a sense of adventure and romance to it, although I doubt any of us would REALLY like to be trapped on an island like that. But what about just visiting an island like that? What if you could go to a place where no one else, or at least very few people, ever visited? Crystal blue waters, abundant fish life, sandy beaches, palm trees, and a sense of incredible tranquility? WellPacific Expeditions is doing an interesting trip next year. They are visiting 5 very remote islands in the south Pacific on a 15 day voyage.
For $2200 you have the following itinerary:
January 18th: Fly Air Rarotonga from Raro to Manihiki (in evening board R/V Bounty Bay for overnight voyage to Rakahanga).
January 19th: On Rakahanga for day (depart for Suwarrow in evening).
January 21st to 24th: Exploring Suwarrow - bird watching, diving etc.
January 27th & 28th: Visiting the Marsters family on Palmerston.
